Installation Instructions

Download our complete installation instructions to see every step along the way. Photos for each step will show you how ThermalBuck™ and ThermalTight™ integrate for an airtight, watertight, thermally broken building envelope.

Here are the basics:

Cut & Fit

Cut panels to fit using a utility knife or circular saw. 

Fasten

Fasten panels using ring shank corrosion-proof nails or screws with button caps.

Apply BRINC Fluid FS

Apply a 3/16″ to 1/4″ bead of sealant under the flap, 1 inch below the seam.

Smooth

Smooth over the flap using firm, diagonal pressure.

Installation Instructions: ThermalTight without Strapping

Use this installation guide if you are installing ThermalBuck™ and ThermalTight™ without strapping. This is also called a “flush” installation, and your siding will be installed directly on the ThermalTight™ panels.

Use this installation guide if you are installing ThermalBuck™ and ThermalTight™ with strapping for your siding or rainscreen. Your cladding will be mounted onto furring strips installed over the ThermalTight™ panels.
